As part of the Circular Electronics Partnership (CEP), GeSI is presenting the results of its contribution to the CEP Roadmap Pathway 4 (Increase official collection rate), Action 8: tie takeback and collection to the business model.
The pilot plan will present on what CEP and GeSI companies have achieved to meet the project objectives:
1. Improving the take-back rate of electronics at the end of use
2. Exploring how take-back solutions can be added to existing circular business models
3. Enable manufacturers to better identify viable solutions for integrating take-back and collection into their value propositions
4. Empower the electronics industry to invest in creating digital solutions to facilitate take-back
The goal is to support CEP and GeSI Members, as well as key stakeholders to design and kick-off initiatives to improve the elements of their business model that are related to the take-back and collection of electronics.
The activities of the event will include:
1. Presentation of the paper findings, recommendations, and next steps;
2. Interactive panel discussion on circular business models for ICT companies and operationalising circularity;
3. Showcase existing case study on successful integration of circular business models;
4. Open discussion amongst stakeholders that highlight their top priorities in implementing the paper recommendations.
